how to stop fish from jumping

I like the plastic bag idea. I also like to use duct tape to to tape around the filter to make sure my blue lobster does not get out. This seems to work ok and I have not had any escapes yet.

I think there is a killer in my tank! My blood parrot

I have to agree with Smcoyle87. I have a tank with a blood parrot and tiger barbs. In my opinion I dont think that the blood parrot could catch the barbs. I would ensure that your parameters are ok and than try adding more barbs. I bet that the barbs died first and than the other fish fed on...

Since cory cats are supposed to be kept in groups, I was wondering if I can mix the different types (emerald, pepper, albino), or is it better to keep the group all one type? I was thinking of getting a group of nine. Thanks:thanks:

    New aquarium

Sounds like good ideas. Do you think getting a 200 to 300 gallon tank with a full set up for salt water plus stand and canopy is unreasonable for $3,000?

    angelfish

My Angelfish is an agressive feeder. I am sure it would quickly eat the guppies. It would take a while but he would end up eating the neons as well once he caught them.

Hi, I have had my blue lobster for about five weeks. He is doing great and is fun to watch. They will greedily eat shrimp pellets. There seem to be a lot of different information out there about them. Many people talk about how they are deadly killers, and will eat any fish that you have at...

I would shoot for feeding a small amount everyday. With that being said, missing a day is not a big deal.

    green spotted puffer

The puffers are brackish wich means that they can not live in a salt water set up. They need fresh water that has a small concentration of salt in it. Think of it as amixture of salt water and fresh water.

    crayfish + bamboo shrimp

The blue crayfish would kill the bamboo shrimp in a 20 gallon. The only way it might work is if you had a huge heavily planted tank.
