    Clownfish behavior...

It's a condy anenome. I'm not really sure what kind of lighting to tell you the truth... What kind of answer would you be looking for about the lighting? 8O

Hey...how do I get a picture thingy under my name?

I know this has nothing to do with aquariums, but how can I get a picture under my profile name like everyone else?...

    Garlic...

I know this is a dumb and repeated queston, but I remember hearing that garlic is good for a fishes immune system, is that right?. If that's the case is it okay to soak their food in it every day?

    Clownfish behavior...

Oh man, so you mean there could be another reason... :?

    Clownfish behavior...

Well, they are both pretty much the same size...the one digging the is slightly bigger, but not much. I hope they are a mating pair, this would be exciting for me seeing as though this is my very first tank and it's only been running for almost 6 months. But this is also a disadvantage too I'm...

    Clownfish behavior...

Really! Because he, or she,(do you know what sex this one would be?) really picks on the other clown. The other fish don't have a problem with the clown. Is that normal behavior for a mating pair? I thought they were supposed to be freindly to eachother?

    Clownfish behavior...

My clarkii clown has been acting kinda wierd lately... it's been digging in the sand(with its tail) right under the anenome. it's never done this before, is it possibly some pairing behavior?

    strange symbiotic relationship...?

Yeah, maybe that's it. It's good for me because I get kinda worried when the blood shrimp doesn't eat for days...then again, I've had him the longest out of anything in my tank...

    Fish Store Woes! (vent)

The first one I went to when I first started the hobby was great. very informative and reliable, but the guys who worked there were sexually harassing me, so of course, I went somewhere else... 8O

Do I need extra shells for hermit crabs?

Well, I've got plenty of big empy shells for my crabs, but they still insist on killing my snails...

    strange symbiotic relationship...?

Well, I have a pretty interesting thing going on in my tank. I got a clarkii clown about a month and a half ago and always wanted a pair, so I got another about a month ago. The first clown I got is hosting a condy anenome that is plenty big enough for two clowns, but he insisted on not...

    Clown Question..something weird.

    Okay...really getting tired of this...

Thanks to all of you for your input and great advice...I just put them in the QT...I did see the other fish start to pick on them...I'll see what happens from there, hopefully they will be okay.

    Okay...really getting tired of this...

Well, they ate the second I put them in the tank..which was a great sign for me, because usualy they don't eat for a couple of days like you said. They haven't eaten for about 4 or 5 days...

    Okay...really getting tired of this...

Well, I just tried mixing in garlic juice with their food, and they did seem a litlle more interested in it, but no luck with them eating it...

    Okay...really getting tired of this...

No, they really don't have any physical markings or hints of stress. Their fins aren't even clamped and they're swimming pretty good, not as active as they once were, but not as unactive as my others became. The only reason the guy said to use brine is to stimulate eating, and at least they...

    ich?

Well, I would probably agree with you on that one, especially for the more difficult to kill diseases...but Melafix and Greenex can both be used in the main tank. Although Melafix has a wide variety of uses, Greenex prevents and treats parasties without harming your inverts.

    Okay...really getting tired of this...

Thanks. Yeah, I have a QT, but it's empty and hasn't been used yet. I really haven't neede to use it yet, do you think I should. Their fins aren't clamped or anything, so I guess that's a good sign. When you say young, how young do you mean? Even if I did use the QT for them, I wouldn't know...

    Okay...really getting tired of this...

As soon as I put them in the tank they ate like pigs...it was only a few days until they stopped, but I'm pretty sure they know what is food... I'm feeding them whole bloodworms and frozen brine shrimp...teh LFS said that the wild ones usually don't recognize the food but to feed them live brine...

    Okay...really getting tired of this...

They were both from the same tank, they seems to be pretty close, they don't swim more than 2 inches away fom each other and sorta nibble on eachother like they were paired. When the one got the mouth fungus he stopped eating and the other was still...just recently the other one wont eat. By...

    Okay...really getting tired of this...

Okay well, it's a 20 gallon (long), I have about 20-22 ilbs. of live rock, clown goby, cleaner shrimp, blood shrimp, pygmy angel, and royal gramma and LT anenome as I said...I used the drip method (at least now I do after the first two clowns died) I do not know how they were caught(I thought...

    Sick Clowns?

I think they get pretty aggressive while breeding and include such behaviors...but I'm not sure. Mine do the same thing, but no missing scales or funky parasites hanging out of their chin... 8O

    ich?

I went to Wal-Mart the other day and I saw something that was called "ich-away"or "ick-gone" or something along those lines...it was like a seltzer type pill you put in the tank and it said it takes care of ich fast...does it really work? That seems too easy, if it does work why doesn't...

    Lobsters?

I don't think I'de be able to watch it and take care of it very long...I would wanna eat it! 8O
