Hey everyone, i just bought a molly (black) 1 black snail, 1 golden snail, and i already had 7 goldfish feeders. will everything get along or should i be looking for problems to arise. Also i heard that the snails will repopulate very quickly is this the case? Thanks for the help.

they are feeder goldfish, do they still need the 10 gal per fish? at the pet store they had them maybe 200 in a 10 gal tank.

i wasn't going to put discus in with goldfish, the first thing i wanted to do after a cycle is add some plants to the tank.

Yeah, from what i was reading they require almost as much care as SW tanks. That i'm not sure of, this is my first FW tank. I do have a SW tank and the up keep isn't really that expensive or hard. Just needs to be routine. So again i'm not sure with FW but from what i read shouldn't be to hard...

That seems like it's more difficult then just leaving the UGF. I saw that link, but my UGF isn't really proving to be messy yet. What about them actually is so messy? just the maintance or the way the gravel sits on the bottom.? Thanks

I've been reading and alot of people doing a fishless cycle are reporting it to be cloudy. Some also said that the tank did smell after a few days. I haven't done a fishless cycle. again i'm just telling you what i read :)

Saltwater is a higher up keep. I would recommend reading some of the informations in the fourms about the saltwater, i beleve you would have to buy new equipment. and the water changes will cost more as you need to add salt and what not. The fish also tend to be a bit more pricy. I have a 20 gal...
