I placed some Osmocote fert. capsules in my gravel substrate tank several months ago. When I vac. the gravel I am still finding undissolved osmocote pellets in those areas!! How long does it take these capsules to dissolve when placed in the substrate?? :thanks:

One of my glo-light danios has lost its color and has a red/whitish spot on his side. I think it's trauma. Can a fish lose its coloring because of trauma/stress??:confused:

Tried that didn't do a thing!It feels like some of the suction cup actually came off on the acrylic.

How do you get the white marks off the inside of the tank that suction cups leave behind while there are still fish in the tank. The tank is acrylic.:whistle:Thanks.

Can the addition of a UV sterilizer cause a temporary change in water parameters ( i.e. a spike in Nitrites )?? The sterilizer supposedly kills spores,bacteria,parasites, etc and this would result in a temporary change in the bio-load would it not?? Just a thought.:whistle:

Yes. No Problems.We have not had any problems with this tank over the last 5-6 months with the same H2O. I doubt very much if it has to do with the actual water itself!

Have well water, no CL.! Besides we let the water sit for 24Hrs aqnd I usually toss in some Prime just for the heck of it.
