Not sure in the first pic. The second looks like a toadstool leather. The third pic looks like the same thing and a tree leather up in the corner.

Another note on there aggression. When I would feed them some gold fish the jack would grab one and beat it on some large rocks till it was in pieces then eat the smaller bite sized chunks. I think the only meaner fish you can get would be a red devil.

No all thoes will most likely end up eaten or beat to death. I had one in a 90 gal with two fire mouths and two oscars and all was well till I moved. I put the jack and fire mouths in a smaller tank and jack got down rite angry. If hes dead set on it let him. Some ppl have to learn the hard way...

Ohh i must have missed the part about the other fish. What kind is he? Mine wasnt good at catching the feeders either. He would swim at them with his mouth wide open then get em when they hit the corner. I thought it was funny, kinda reminded me of a whale lol.

You should just start with the 90. I had a jack and two fire mouths when I had mine. They all got along fine. The only thing I didnt realy like was the oscars poop is freakin huge. It was like I had a small dog in there.

I dont think thats to bad of a deal. If you wanted to do a 150 gal from scratch it would run ya a bit more then that. Im positive the tank, light, stand, top, and all that rock would be well over 850.

I did a google search and it pulled up a youtube review of it and the guy said it was kinda loud. It didnt sound any louder then normal to me. But I've fallen asleep to that noise for years.

Are the rubber caps on the ends of the propeller ? Are they in the correct spots in the filter? Some times I have to wiggle the top piece that holds the top of the propeller and the botem of the in take tube. Are there any obstructions hitting the blades?

If you look at everything thats in there thats not all that bad. I bet there not coming out ahead in that deal.

I had that problem too. I took the realy bad rocks out and hosed them out good then let them bake under the sun for a few days. For the rocks that only had a few I just injected the lil boogers with boiling water. It killed them instantly.

A 5 is kinda small. I would just pick one species and go with maybe 3-4 of them.

Remove all the old silicone, clean it real good. I think I used alcohol wipes. Reseal it and let it dry for a day or so. Then fill it up and let it chill so you can see if there are any leaks. If there isnt any you did it rite. now drain it and put your gravel and stuff in and start the cycle...

The engineer bleny I had ate 4 chromis, a royal gama, zebra goby, and a few others. I think he ate a total of $130 in fish. He was fine till he got about 6-7 inches long.

I had a engineer that went all rouge fish eater on me so watch it if there is fish smaller then it's mouth.

Make sure your coarls are a few inches from the bottem. When that pistol starts moving the sand hes gona turn it into mountains and they dont care what they bury
