You need a much bigger tank for your ray.

Well back in the day 10+ years ago when i first got into fish keeping i didn't know better and never cycled my tank. I guess the water was good because i had fish for along time with no problems not even need to add chemicals. I guess i got lucky back than, but know that i know its a must.

Well if you leave her in a tank when she is giving birth you can almost guarentee your catfish will eat all of your babies. Female guppies have 20-50 fry at once.

I have bought tanks from craigslist and stores like petsmart and have had good luck with both. The benefit of a store is they usually offer lifetime guarantee's which is alot of weight off the back when you spend so much on a tank. But with craigslist you can get a good deal but worry about the...

Sadly if you want a more "exciting" fish you will need a bigger tank. Alot of the odd ball fish need 75+ tanks.

On what plants to purchase.

I need some plant advise for my 2 tanks. First one is my 125gallon common Stingray tank. Also my 75 gallon red belly piranha tank. Uprooting in the stingray tank isn't as big as a problem as my other ray tank. So I would like to keep native plants only in both tanks. Thanks, Josh
