    molly with raised scales

Hello, I'm in need of opinions. Picked up a fish today from a college girl who didn't have time for it. Its an orange and black molly, I was startled when I got there to find it in a bag of orange water which should have been a red flag....got it home and did a slow acclimation with my tank...

    Chronic Re-arranger

I am a chronic rearranger. I dunno if that's a word... But I am. I cannot keep the same look in my tank for more then a couple weeks. I like switching it up. I've decided any live plants I keep will have to be in pots. I drive myself nuts. I do the same thing with furniture, every couple months...

1~What type of fish is afflicted? Cardinal tetra, popeye with what appears to be small white worms inside of the 'bubble' and eye ball. Also one small speck that looks funny near the dorsal fin, not sure if its a damaged scale or some type if critter? 2~What are your tank parameters- ammonia...

Sometimes it takes some rearranging to figure out the culprit

I've been going back and forth trying to figure out what was going on in my tank and I finally think I've figured it out. This might be a little long winded but I thought it might be an interesting topic if discussion and maybe help someone else out with the best way to figure out the aggressive...

    Gravel vacuuming

I know most people vacuum half the gravel during each weekly water change. So I have questions for all the gravel vacuumers out there. Do you just skim the top of the gravel or do you vacuum all the way down to the bottom of the tank? If you have caves and plants/fake plants do you remove...

Guppies are NOT the peaceful fish they seem

My guppies are mean to each other, one just succumbed to his months of being bullied. I did only get 3 when I bought so I know the aggression wasn't distributed evenly. Now bully man is beating up number 2. Tail shredded, did a round of meds to hopefully help it heal but I know the bullying...

    Red veins in tails

My albino Cory's are in qt, I noticed red veins running through there tails and small bright red spots near pectoral fins. About 8 months ago we battled a really severe bout of fin rot, so there pectoral fins are not whole. I've been through so much with them and nursed them back from having 0 fins.

Low guppy on the totem pole.

I got these guppies about 6-8 months ago, maybe a bit longer. I have 3 and ever since I brought them home one is getting bullied, I totally get the pecking order and all but I feel terrible for him(?) his tail has been split the entire time I've owned him, my water is perfect. 0 ammonia 0...

    Diy and repurposing for decor.

I decided to do a couple DIY decorations and decided to post some pics for ideas for anyone else who might be looking for ideas. I make a cave using silicone and glass beads from petsmart. All together I probably spent 12$ on the beads and silicone. I decided to buy silk hobby plants to DIY some...

    Opinions on this decoration/bubbler

Has anyone used a house like this? I think it's concept is awesome and my Cory's may like it when they go in the tank, and loaches if I get them but I'm a little concerned about the spinning wheel. I'm worried about a fish some how getting stuck in it. Any thoughts? I like the look of it I got...
