Buying Albino Turtles, a good deal?

I'm offered to buy an Albino turtle for 45 dollars. What do you guys think? Is it a waste of cash, and they're like other regular aquatic turtles? Or is it a good deal for being rare and with special features?

    Difficulty feeding goldfish fry

Okay this is like the 4th time I have a group of fry and I feel like I'm going to fail again The fry are 4 days old. Today I crushed some adult fish food into powder and tried feeding them, some of the powder floated and some sank. I don't know the amount of powder to put, I don't know if they...

Safe to move fry to new tank?

It's easy, if your filter's intake's holes/openings are not large enough to suck him in then it will be fine. If they are then you definitely have to fix it. A sponge like bobby said or a net to cover it up will do, I recommend a net tho since it won't affect the water intake rate.

Post pictures of your fry tank

Isn't 1.5 g a bit too small for some kinds of fry when there are too many of them? I have a 10 gallon plastic bucket that I use to keep my goldfish fry in, I find it pretty large for them and it was also super cheap

    Selling fish to pet stores

I think many fish stores do so you'll eventually find one, just keep searching if these won't buy it

    Ph problem

No, the rocks (or whatever decoration you're talking about) are either reactive or not, boiling rinsing or whatever doesn't help or hurt. Also just because it's from a LFS doesn't mean its 100% safe

    Ph problem

I think it's the rocks. If all these rocks are identical, take one of them out of the aquarium, put few drops of vinegar on them and see if they make any bubbles, sound or smell. If they're different rocks then do this test on all of them. Make sure to rinse them with water before putting them...

    Ph problem

Dude don't look for ways to lower it down, look for the problem that caused it to rise first! I ask again, what kind of gravel and decor do you have in your aquarium and did you test your tap water?

    Ph problem

I think the rise is caused by either your tap water (you should test it) or any kind of gravel or decoration you have, what kind of gravel and decorations do you have? Also what is your test kit? You said you posted a picture but that still doesn't answer us

    Goldfish fry won't eat

I had 40 ppm Nitrates, 0.25 Ammonia and Nitrites. I know it's bad but could that be really the reason for not eating? They all died now and I have fresh eggs (fish spawned again), Nitrates level is 10 ppm is that good enough?

How to get rid of a fish?

the store is probably the best idea, but the guppies must be really annoying it with the nibbles so you should do it fast

    Happy new stocking thoughts

Guppies as far as I know are kind of hard fish (or at least not sensitive much), they withstand some beginner mistakes. You don't have to change the type of fish, it wasn't guppies' fault. You should also find out what's the problem to avoid it in the future. Do you have good aeration, an air...

    Goldfish fry won't eat

I've checked many topics about goldfish fry, they are mostly eating on third or fourth day My goldfish fry are 4 days old, and they still won't eat! They are about 20, in a large bucket (15 liters of water), they do look a bit older than before but they are still not swimming normally, some of...

    Black Moor eye injury :(

Ok when I woke up this morning I found the hole became much smaller, and few hours later it was all gone, but her eye is pretty cloudy and seems to be having a hard time seeing. I hope it will get completely healed

    Black Moor eye injury :(

I know she can live with one eye I once had a fish with no eyes at all, but I thought it might be healed because the eye itself, I don't know what to call it, I think pupil and iris are totally fine but the lense is the damaged part

    Black Moor eye injury :(

My Black Moor had sort of an accident and hit her eye into some sharp plastic, and now her eye lens is ruptured I'm talking about the completely outer transparent surface of the eye, it has a hole in it and it got a bit cloudy. I'm reaally sad about it because it was kind of my fault. Will it...

Number of goldfish in a 40g tank?

Have you ever thought he can be right? I mean is there really a proof for this stunting theory? :/

Number of goldfish in a 40g tank?

Kind is goldfish, fancy or not depends on which one lets me keep a lot of them. Big I prefer like 10-15 cm but if small will do better then I don't mind. 2 powerhead filters connected to a filter box, one 1700 litre and one 2800 liters, of course the actual flow rate (not max one written) is...

Number of goldfish in a 40g tank?

Ugh just 3 or 4 goldfish in my tank makes it so empty.. not theoretically but what it looks like from outside. I already bought a test kit, 2 strong filters and was getting ready to buy many fish and fight to keep my water clean. But this pain thing ruins it all :( Cbcrash seems to have pretty...

Number of goldfish in a 40g tank?

Okay thank you Cbcrash. But to others who are against this, what can happen if I put more than 3-4 like you said? Would the fish not grow to their biggest size (but still live) or die because of space or just ammonia level might rise?

    Goldfish laid eggs.. some questions!

My Black Moor (female) laid eggs, the male is either a large comet or a medium fantail (both were chasing her all the time..) The whole process was a surprise for me, I found some fry that already hatched and many eggs, I moved all of them to a bucket so they don't get eaten and set the heater...

Number of goldfish in a 40g tank?

My question is in the title, I really want to keep the largest possible number. According to many websites, it should have only 4 goldfish. What is the reason of such low number? Is it because they produce much waste? What if I have a good filter with much water changes?
