Got the GBRs, paraiba angels, tetras, a couple corys and our guppies in here right now. As we get our new fish we will be swapping them with these guys. (We are using some substrate that is full of healthy bacteria as well as plants and some well seeded filter media from one of our other well...

Get some otos if you dont have them already. They do an amazing job of getting rid of algae! But that is all they will eat, so you do have to have continuous algae. Ive tried feeding mine algae wafers but all of my other fish get to them first.

Lol we are not big fans of platies! We had some sunburst platies at one point but found that they just created alot of waste compared to our other fish.

No luck. This morning the eggs turned white and got picked off. Is he maybe not fertilizing them properly? He did seem to be aiming a bit high when he was doing his thing.

Mine too! Lol they actually just finished spawning. It was so interesting to watch the process. The only downside is we tested our water yesterday and our PH is 8.0. So I'm not sure about survivability.

We were following the directions on the bottle but today we also started some metro. The guy at the LFS that we usually trust was in today so he also told us to use the metro and then force feed.

Like i said he completely refuses to eat, and hasnt for about a month.

Well Im going to assume that the eggs are gone. She stopped being aggressive and isn't in her rock anymore. Oh well! Now that We know she's spawning we will maybe try to move them to their own tank so they're more comfortable next time.

Yeah I was kind of thinking that as long as shes still being protective they are probably there somewhere, but i just cant see them! I think we will just hope for the best and keep an eye on the tank and maybe we will see some fry in a few days! Will let everyone know if I see any.

Well earlier I saw the eggs and she was most definitely guarding them. But then I couldnt see them anymore. I read that they sometimes move them, but I figured that she would be guardin a new area if that was the case.
