I just bought a timer and it is set to 8 hours. I use full spectrum LED lights, no c02 or liquid carbon, I use API leaf zone. I do water changes at least twice a week.

So this algae started growing on a piece of my drift wood a couple months back. It starts out purple and then turns brown/black. my fish don't seam to be bothered by it but clogs up my java moss and java fern. Do you have any idea what it might be and how to get rid of it? :confused:

So I was looking at my tank and noticed a snail hanging out on a piece of driftwood. Any idea what kind it is? Will it eat my plants?

I agree it does look a lot like that melon sword. I moved it to the gravel.

I attached it to driftwood because I thought it was Anubias. should I plant it in the gravel?
