    Elecrtic Blue Acara

There isn't any sign of disease on their outer appearance. Their fins are flawless. The female I have seams to have a disorder with her mouth though. the very edge seems to be nicked. With nothing to be visually wrong with their fins I am thought there may be something wrong internally. When I...

    Elecrtic Blue Acara

Unfortunately, it does seem as if they are loosing weight. I have tried both frozen and flake food. I have given them frozen blood worms, mysis shrimp, and a cichlid blend. I purchased some brine shrimp last night and they did swallow it! So I will be feeding them that until they gain some weight.

    Elecrtic Blue Acara

Hi, I recently purchased two Electric Blue Acaras. They are both about an inch long so they are still fairly young. I have been having difficulties though getting them to eat. Whatever I try and feed them they attack it quickly, swallow it, and then spit it out about 5-10 seconds later. I have...

    Under gravel heater

I was talking with my local fish store about a problem I am having with my Amazon Swords. One day I pulled a dead leaf off it and the whole plant came up with it with all of the roots gone. The leafs look healthy (even though they only grow low near the gravel). The owner at the fish store...

I bought two boesemani rainbows about a week ago. They look healthy but only one is eating. I have been feeding them NLS flakes. The female will eat some (not nearly as much as my other fish) but my male wont eat them at all. He will put them in his mouth and spit them right out. I tried putting...

    White spot on Pearl Gourami

One of my female Pearl Gourami's has a single white spot in the center of both of her eyes (no spots on her body). The other male and female gourami pick on her and have no spots. Would this be caused by stress? Should I get a separator for the tank until she is healthy? Any help will be...

It is a 55g 8 neon tetras, 7rummy nose, 5 hatchets, 3 cory, and the 3 gourami. The two females are pairing in the same hiding spot while the male runs all around the tank and I just noticed a bubble nest on the side he stays on.

    Pearl Gourami

I added three Pearl Gourami to my tank one male and two female. My male chasses the females around until they find a hiding spot and the male looses track of them. This continues to happen until the male spots the female again. I'm thinking that the male wants to breed but the females don't want...
