@Jwitter, I have a Maroon Red Lobster which I keep with other fishes. Very small fishes like Neon or Cardinal Tetras, endlers etc will get eaten over time. Danios when small may also get eaten if the lobster can climb high. Otherwise they don't really attack larger fish unless they seem sick...

I'm back ?, had to get a new song phone since my old one konked off. On the issue of substrates, I'm not sure color of the substrates have anything to do with peppering but for sure impacts the overall scenery of the tank & how your discus show in it. I personally prefer light coloured...

The real green discus I know of are wild caught. I have a video of a heckle cross that's green thru selective breeding but haven't managed to get my hands on one. Don't know how to put the video up. The attached has minor green streaks. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice

I would be very careful of breeding in the general tank, the discus get aggressive & keep other bigger fishes away. I had this problem with my Koi Angels & had to remove the eggs since they were getting too aggressive. Sent from my iPhone using Aquarium Advice
