have fun and just play with it. see the larger picture with shape and form then figure out how to make that happen. take your time and enjoy.

stack, lean, pile, knock it down and do it over again. stop when you like how it looks and its the picture you thought of.

did that answer your question, or did i just ramble?

It was an informative ramble...i enjoyed it...

Did some more fuge mods. Cur away at the sides of the media basket to provide a block so i can add filter media to catch any big debris.

I use the old fashioned paint brush and latex paint. I give it about 3 coats. But some people do use the spray paint, I just worry about the splatter and I'm not very neat so the little brush keeps me in check. lol

its fun... if you look through my builds i mask off the entire tank. well just about the entire tank. but i do ensure no over spray can enter the tank.

Sands in!!! Now time to bucket water!!! Uggh...lol

Good start! I;d move the one sticking up and change its place with the rock to the far right. make another cave like overhang.
:)

My gf said the same thing. Ill let it settle then try it out. Ive been washing sand, rock, paiting, drilling...so i gave the rock like 30 mins before i had to crack a beer and relax...lol. but im loving this white sand i found at home depot.

move the piece on the back left in towards the center more and just flip the piece on the left upside down? just to see what it looks like.

or take the piece on the right with the piece on the left and build an arch?

I like the big cave to the left. I say make at least two caves. They look cool and give the fish a place to hide! :)

Tank is still cloudy...hoping it will clear up by today.
