Steel file cabinets used and cheap with a piece of plywood on top.
I genuinely would not have thought of that.Steel file cabinets used and cheap with a piece of plywood on top.
Also, I would love to add some kuhli loaches, but I am concerned for their safety. These rams eat snails heartily, and they defended their eggs from the dwarf gourami viciously. However, they ignore guppy fry and were otherwise totally fine in the community. Would I be setting up a disaster?
But they look so cool! (I'm begrudgingly giving up the thought of having them in with the rams. )Kuhlis like to graze along the bottom. I think they'd have the same problems with Rams guarding their spawning site that Corys do.

How often do you need to catch them?I love them, myself, but -boy- are they ever tough to catch.
Does the moonlight setting count toward the photo period?
Great. Going from ambient light, I'm trying for 6 hours daily. Is that too much too quickly? Not at all.

I do like the cloud settings a lot, but I totally agree on the lightning.Nah. I think it's just to give the fish a transition to darkness and look cool for us.
What I don't understand are some of the lighting effects, especially things like "thunderstorm." I'd think that flashing lighting would stress the fish out.

I'm still moving things around, so I've still got stuff everywhere and cords not set aside... The topple popple likes the lights.

Thank you. She's great. I really like the new changes.Bless her she's well in to it by the looks of things. These few changes has really improved things. The tanks look alive.
Honestly, the feature that I thought this light had that I wanted was a programmable timer. I have timers that turn off power, but nothing that would turn off day light and turn on moon light. I guess you can buy dual ramp timers, but I haven't looked in to them.I've wondered on this as well as it just seems over the top expense (never thought I'd say that..)
