Hey, so I keep reading theories saying that the more fish you have stocked the less territorial they're all gonna be? I was wondering is that actually true that if u have more fish the less they're gonna fight?

Especially dealing with cichlids who are known to be extremely aggressive and territorial as they grow.

It entirely depends on the species involved. Malawi tanks can be run in an over crowded condition as long as the added filtration needs are maintained.

Other fish.... not so much, but it may apply to many individual types. Generally, it isn't a good idea IME.

Depends, obviously having too small of a group makes it easier to single out a single fish, but adding too many can cause constant aggression. Start with a recommended amount for your tank size and if there is no aggression just leave it. If there is aggression there is a lot of other things to try instead of overstocking.
