NH1, HN1. Whats the difference. The thing is i like the SPS Hard corals, Soft corals, zoanthids, and polyps. So yes, i want it ALL.:-|
If you're interested here is the thread HN1 is talking about, I built it for my 120 to support everything I would ever want to put in it. If you have any questions about what I got where just give me a jingle. http://www.aquariumadvice.com/forums/f20/lighting-build-in-progress-pics-for-120-fowlr-reef-later-118176.html
Lighting is a rough road to go down, I still have bruises.LOL

I actually have a tone of questions. But honestly, i don't know if this would be the right thing to do for a corner tank. I have bookmarked the page so when i get my 100 gallon WAY down the road i will definitely be using this.

What me and fish monkey talked about was this: 250/400W HQI Double Ended Pendant by IceCap - AquaCave

Do you think 1 of these would be good enough to light up my aquarium and get most of the corals and zoas i want?

*EDIT*

ANY good?

Holy thread hijack! ;)

Remember, the ballast for that light is sold separately.

Heat is a huge consideration, then you will enter the realm of chillers. No more $$$$$$$.

Well, we got a fish and a couple of frags yesterday. Here are some pics! :D

Awesome!! Your tank is amazingly amazing lol. I love it. Great work and great progress. *cough* pros *cough*

XDD

Yeah, unless you want to run a 250W bulb. 400W is a LOT of light (and heat). We have a 400W pendant and ballast for the 48x48 frag tank and are considering a 250.

I know this post was from a while back and i must have skipped over it. But are saying you are downgrading to a 250 because of heat? And are you saying a 400W is better for my 90g then a 250W?

I'm saying that there are a lot of folks on the site that can help you with lighting more than I can. ;) You may want to use the 400W because you have a deep tank, or you may want to use a 250W because of heat issues. I really don't know.

It's the lighting. We have a 6 bulb HO T5 fixture, and the person that sold it to us was running 2 10K bulbs and 4 actinics. They aren't due for replacement quite yet so we just went with it. ;)
