I did all my screens with a sawzall blade ...
Yours does need to be a bit rougher though

I'll have a look around the garage, I'm sure I can find something that will do it, cheers for pointing that out to me!

Good job this tanks not in my bedroom! It's a light show! Kinda like it.

There was a delay but I have my new untempered 55g. Made by Deep Blue, it's got a nicer plastic rim than the aqueons with a slimmer yet more sturdy center brace, so less shadow casting. Also came with black silicone which I think looks better than clear, other than that it's a stars add 55g, dropping it off at the glass shop tomorrow, will post when I get it back.

Nice my Lfs keeps the deep blue and say they are built well. Plus I like the black silicone as well.

Yea it's the first I've heard of them but it seems very well built, neat siliconing (if that's a word) and the plastic rims are much more solid with neat rounded corners. I like it!

Just ordered two Hydor Koralia 1050 pumps that will run off the smartwave alternating every 5seconds for random flow. Expecting them to arrive within a week. Should be good flow along with the mag 7 return pump.

^ Same. I'm cycling my 55 gal right now. I have one 1050 in there already and 2 750s from my 36 gal that will be moved over with the transfer. A smartwave would be a nice future addition if it works well. Unsure on if I want to make that purchase due to having radions for lighting... might just save up and get mp10s and program them in with my lights. Tank thunderstorms ftw.

Let me know how you like the smart wave I've been eyeing it but a bit reluctant in purchasing it.

Will do, it's very simple just alternates between the 2+ pumps at set times from 5 seconds to 6 hours. So it's unable to produce waves but can make a random flow or simulate a tide-in tide-out. My only concern is that something may swim into the propeller while it's off then get blendered! But I think if I keep it on 5 second intervals then that shouldn't be a problem.

Mp10s are awesome! Although I have been sold on the Tunze Wavebox, that's my future purchase! I love the thunderstorm effects, one day... one day.

I have finished my canopy, there are two 20w 12000k LED floodlights on the outside, then two 10w blues, then one 10w 12000k in the middle.

I have put it on my 72g until the 55s ready. It looks awesome, the flicker is so much better now they are raised, and by adding that 10w in the middle it makes the entire tank evenly lit. The blues are also really cool, my phone can't capture the right colors but in real life they look great and make the corals pop.

Here are some pics of the light on my 72...
