Never too much filtration. I have a G6 and Emperor 400 on my 90g. I keep my 10g qt tank cycled with ghost shrimp.

Do you like your G6?
My only concern is that the fx5 is for filters up to 400 gallons, aka lots of water flow. Then the 305 is up to a 75 gallon

How about this stocking list for the 75 gallon?:
1 pair of blue anglefish
10 julii corys
10 threadfin (killifish?)
10 gardneri killifish
And maybe another school of tetras or something...

What do you think?

I am going to pick up the 75 gallon right now! Hurray! Then it will be question time ;)

It seems to be holding water! Hurray!
In your opinion should I remove the DIY overflow? Or just leave it in the tank?

If it work I would leave it in you never know if there will be salt in the future but it's up to you I think overflows are great even for fw but your call

Wow i almost fell off my chair I am super jealous I never seem to find deals

My uncle gave it to me. The only request he had was have it look better than it did before (it was under his deck before)

keep up posted, unlike most build threads this is actually an interest interesting thread.

My uncle also gave me this stand that he built. And a 10 gallon sump type thing. He also gave me two cool rocks!
I don't think I will use the sump, but I will have to see how complicated it is...

A coat of paint or a sand and stain and that stand will look like a million bucks I would use the sump if you have it then you can put your filters and stuff like that out of sight some body will chime in on how to set it up just let us know all the parts that are with it

Sorry about this noob question, but what is a sump. What is it ment for and how does it work.
