Well do weekly water changes and hopefully nothing else dies.We do put tap safe in when we put new water in if that's dechlorinator. We only do it that often as that's what we were advised to do by someone

We take out about 25 to 30 percent of the water when we change. Guess we will start doing water changes more often.
We got the 2 electric blue ram and the 2 swordtails 2 weeks ago today
.It's possible these fish may have brought a problem pathogen in. Bacteria, flagellates, virus possibly. Problem is, detecting what the problem is when there are no obvious signs. Has there been any reddening of the skin/fins/mouth etc? Any fish 'flicking' against objects as if itching? Any fish 'spinning' in the water? Excessive slime production/white or pale patches? Infections of white spot (Ich) can cause mortalities before any white spots are seen. Flukes could be a problem too. Just a few suggestions - any more info about behaviour you may have observed?
