Just read something that says you can acclimate black mollies and they eat hair algea? I have a couple rocks with a hair algea problem and I don't want a sea hare in there again knocking everything over. I bought a lawnmower blenny cause I was told he would eat it but he isn't...

Yes mollies can be acclimated to salt water and they will eat stringy algae.

I read acclimate them for 2 hours. Wonder how well it would take care of the algea... I really don't want to remove it by hand cause the rocks are big and down in the sand.

I'm having the same problem with algae. Bought a lawnmower blenny and some small blue footed hermits; was told both of those eat hair algae.

Had no idea mollies do too tho. How many should a person get? Is it so many per gallon?

I have a 150, and the stupid algae is everywhere!

You might be better off with the sea hare. I had one before they really do eat it like crazy! But they knock stuff over...
