Hello. I am looking to add a bit more rock to my aqua scape so that I can fit more corals in my tank. I have heard that adding too much rock at one time can create a mini cycle due to dead material on it. Is there any type of rock that I could avoid this with, and if not, would boiling it first help to decrease this? Please let me know, thanks.

If the rock is cured and kept wet, you can add it right to your tank. The same can be said for macro/base rock, which has nothing on it at all.
Do not boil live rock. If there were ever anything like zoanthids in there they would release a palytoxin into the air...not good results.
