I have gotten a 125 gallon tank, 6 ft long, and I would like to stock it with peacock and hap cichlids. There are a couple fronts where I want advice.

First, I'm not sure whether to go all male. Which would you recommend, all male, or mixed? My #1 concern is that the tank be colorful, but I am also interested in breeding behavior. I am completely open to both possibilities, but I can't decide...

Second, which haps will be okay with 4-6" peacocks? I would like to have Cyrtocara Moorii, but are they too big or aggressive for my tank or for the other fish??

thanks

A 125 gal. Allows for so many options. Personally, I'd go with an all male Peacock tank. Maybe throw in a few Haps, Venustus / Giraffes and Malawi Eye Biters. For breeding behavior, include a small colony of Mbuna, like Red Top Hongi.
