ALGAE PROB

First ever planted tank, 29 gallon, about 40 watts light. Plants doing ok but I left my lights on over the weekend and came back with a tank full of algae, on glass and leaves, how to stop? too much light?

If you left them on for 48 hours non-stop, then yes, that would be your problem.


I would leave them off for a day or two and then gradually increase the ammount of light back to your normal duration.
