i need some help today i was cleaning some alge off my tank glass, when i noticed several tiny "critters" that have a cone shaped body and short wavy tenticles. They are white in color i tried to poke one and it took off swimming and reattached itself to the glass, i have no good pics sorry any suggestions or advice would be nice! Are they bad or good??

Sounds like hydroids. Do a search for jelly hydroid, there should be lots of examples here on the site for you to compare with. As for good or bad, I'd have to say neither. They will florish in a high nutrient tank (newer tank) and thier numbers will come and go over time depending on thier food source.
