My ammonia level is zero and my nitrites are starting to come down. I am following earlier advice to wait until they are consistently at 0 before I add anymore fish (I have 3 in there right now)...my question is, barring finding some gravel or a filter from an already established tank, is there anything that I can add to my tank to speed the bacteria along? I really want to add a few more fish, but I want to do this the right way and not harm any of them. I have no clue where to get any established substrate or filter...

Any ideas?

There is stuff in the stores that claim to add bacteria but most think it is snake oil.

I know it is hard to wait but it is best for your little swimming friends.

Yeah...My nitrates are going down so it shouldnt be too long...
