Some kind of peacock for sure

His stripes are fading, looks to be turning solid blue with a white stripe on his head and fin

One of the Malawi haps I'm thinking - not my familiar zone but I think it's body says its no peacock for sure. Look at link and look at the copadimidochromis types and protomelas types. I think it's likely one of those maturing.

Looks like it could be. That was one of the 3 or 4 I felt like it was.
