You can use organic blanched zucchini or veggie wafers attached to the side of the aquarium. This should distract them. Maybe do this 3 times a week.

Absolutely. You can invest in tougher plants. Anubias nana and nangi, Java fern and Onion will stand up to the most aggressive fish.

Interesting. I have never had angels eat plants. Perhaps you aren't feeding enough.

Angels love greens in their diet and the way I keep my 12 from eating my more delicate plants is to put slices of blanched zucchini in my tank daily on veggie clips, and every other day the get a few cooked, deshelled, smushed pea's along with their regular daily feeding. This seems to satisfy their need for greens in their diet.
