I've had 2 bol rams for about 2 and 1/2 months now. I know that these guys are hard to sex. I have seen several methods on how to sex them. The one ram is much larger and has bright red on his lower fins, a very tall first spike on his dorsal fin (which is black). I cant really tell if his little offshoot under his belly is pointed or flat (i heard that is how you can tell).
The other ram is smaller, has much less red on his lower fins and a smaller dorsal fin. The first spike is even with the rest of the fin. Again, I cant tell teh difference on the little offshoot (I am sorry, I dont know the real name for this body part). I'll try to get picks of these guys.
They used to hang out in different parts of the tank, but now they seem to hang out together, almost all the time.
Any thoughts, tips, suggestions?
