Babies!!

Well about a 2 weeks ago my sword tails had fry. I put them in a separate container and am raising them, one question. I have never done this before so how big do they need to be to be let out into the tank? In my tank there is 1 moonlight gourami, 1 rainbow shark, 1 bamboo shrimp 2 platys and 4 longfin danios, The swordtails died after they had the babies. Please help!

I cant move the thread, but i can tell you that with the other fish in that tank, they need to be at least 1/4 an inch long

If they are a similar growth rate to mollies and they should be then you are looking 3-4 weeks.

Good rule of thumb that I go by is, if they, fries, are smaller than the mouth of the other fish in the tank. Then they are not ready. Hope this hhelp.

I wish i saw these earlier. I got the very first post. We let them go into the tank and they disappeared. I am hoping we still have them.
