So I have a 120 gallon mbuna tank with gravel and I am tired of constantly having to put in the powders for the ph and hardness. I'd like to put in sand that will both raise the ph and hardness and keep them raised. I'm willing to spend some money. Anyone have any suggestions?

aragonite works also and looks cleaner than crushed coral, imo. you could also buy dry rock meant for a saltwater tank, if you want the hardscape more like a marine tank

Maybe I'll go with aragonite sand. I have a variety of rock I took from the stream in the backyard. Not exactly sure what kinds they are. I'd rather just get rocks from back there than pay a good sum of money for the same kind of rock

I plan in putting in sand and then adding rocks and do something like I did on the left to the ride side
