I just recently discovered my black phantom tetras have ick. So i moved the two i could see were infected into another tank and the rest i left to treat in the current one. One of the tetras has seem to go a dark black red color from about a few cm back from the tail . It almost looks like it's either dying or rotting. I don't really know. Any ideas on what it could be would be really appreciated.

No good. Is it "swollen" as well around the base like a "bruise"? I'd be guessing a bacterial infection (only as I had one recently that sounds like that in a neon).
