That's a whole lot of fish in there man. Any interest in moving some fish to attain a responsibly stocked tank?

Well I suppose if that's the best thing for the tank then yeah

What fish do you think are best getting out of the tank

If it's a common pleco? Gone.. balas.. gone, one parrot but I'm guessing you're wanting to keep those. Clown Loaches should really go, they grow slow so not an immediate issue but def. Will outgrow the tank. You could always upgrade to a larger tank!
Have you visited aqadvisor.com? Plug your stock in and it will give you an idea what's what.

What size do you think I'd be looking at?

A 120 would be avast improvement. Balas are the major concern as they really need a massive tank, they're very active and appreciate groups of 5+. The rest of your stock would be happy as a clam in a 120. 90 even..

Agreed. A Bala shark alone gets over a foot long. WAY TOO BIG for a 45g tank. If you don't want major trouble down the road i would suggest either getting a big 200+ gallon tank for all them, or selling because they are just too big for that little thing.

I hope it's the right size an distance for the room it's in

You have a point though maybe I will look towards a 300 litre still isn't 90 gallons but a good compromise to what I can do

On the liters vs gallons.

120 gallons- 454.249 liters

It's on the bathroom wall, about a meter from my face! 300 litres sounds like a nice upgrade!
