How do I know when my pair is ready to breed?

Right now their papillas are out but they aren't doing anything so idk what that means.

Just pulled my pairs spawn from them and it's so sad :( the female won't leave where they were.

i no mine do the same but by tomorrow she will be ok. i no it seams crule but if u want to hatch the eggs instead of leting them eat them then thats the way we do it

mine are laying eggs right now as we speak. so i will be pulling eggs out in about 2 hrs. also my pleco layed eggs so there next

What kind of pleco do you have? And do you keep any fish on the bottom of you fry tanks. Some people do, but I currently don't have any.

i have regular plecos and alibino brisle nose pleco. nothing on the bottom of the fry tank. less stress for the fry and less chance of geting eaten.
