what kind of ornament/pot/decor would be ideal for Rams/Dwarf Cichilds to lay eggs on/in?

thanks -

I think the best thing will be a terra cotta flower pot, pretty small and, of course, never used and thoroughly cleaned.

My Kribs recently had fry and they laid thier eggs inside one of the rock caves - just a piece of rock that had a natural tunnel.

Any flat surface that can be cleaned and is positioned somewhat horizontally will be good. My keyhole cichlids had enough choice, and chose a roundish rock. Good luck!

Terracotta flower pots, or a coconut cave. Just cut a coconut in half clean it out and boil the living sh*t out of it. Literally, I usually have to boil mine 3 times for about 10 hours in total to get rid of all oils comming out of it. The make awesome breeding caves though, really nice for planted java moss or windelov or java fern on it.

There are asian based companies that sell specifically made breeding huts too.
