Buenos aires tetras with cichlids

I have a 100 gal tank with 13 young African cichlids, labs mainganos polystigma and demonsani all about 2" long. I have 3 buenos aires tetras in a different tank that I don't think fit in there. Could I put them in the cichlids tank?

Tetras and rift lake cichlids will not mix well long-term.

While BA tetras are tough fish, they aren't that tough.
