i have a 5 gallon hex i am trying to grow a couple plants in. i was wondering is a 10 watt 5100K bulb (which is the flourescent option that fits this unit) would work or if i need to find a 6700 bulb... Fluorescent Lamp for Eclipse Hex 5, Hex 7 and Corner 5 - 5,100K - 10W - 5.66 in.

this is a bulb i can gewt easy at lfs i cannotn find a bulb w 6700k that will work i do believe i saw a 10000k but i thought this was too high for plants and was meant for corals... advice please?

Anything between 10000K and 5000K is acceptable for use. Out if curiosity, is the fixture for the hex set up such that the bulb is oriented parallel or perpendicular to the ground?
