Can salt water age too long?

I keep mine in a 32 gallon, covered trash can with the requisite power head and heater. It can be there for 2 - 3 weeks easily. Doing a 10% water change doesn't use it up fast, but I feel safe against catastrophes having my 25 or so gallons on hand at all times.

Just concerned if I could be aging too long. No ill effects that I've seen
 
It's fine but make sure to aerate it without the cover for several hours before use.
