Convicts in a 10gal

Heard that it is possible to keep a pair a convict HAPPILY in a 10gal, yes I kno they need bigger tanks but I seen this done many many MANY times before by experts and local petstore owners' personal tanks...from what I seen some uses a guppy as an "anger target" so the convicts can release stress

Nope, I would never see that happening. It's too small of a tank for two aggressive fish. I would recommend 20 minimum.

Yes you could do it. I KNOW people have successfully bred them in a 10g. Probably wouldn't end with happy fish. Not a good idea IMO though. A 20 long is a perfect tank for a pair though.

A breeding tank is not the same as a display type tank. Breeding setups are done with the intention of the fish breeding and not really comfort or aesthetics or anything of that sort. They are also not meant to be long term homes for the fish.

I guess I should of made myself more clear...I meant for breeding, if it's for display, the babies with the adults will be way too much for a 10
