Current freshwater led

The current led light looks awesome, why is it so inexpensive? Is it just that great of a deal? I have the marineland double bright, but am thinking of ordering the current 48 inch, just for the hell of it. The remote that let's you customize light, also all the different effects? Anybody have experience with this light?

Right, that's what I thought. I wish I would have seen it before I ordered my double bright from marineland. Might still get the current. And I have no experience in t8s. Why are you thinking about switching though?

T8s are just those regular flourescent bulbs that come with most tank kits. They don't put out much light.

I have LEDs on 3 of my tanks and I love the shimmer and how crisp and clean it makes everything in the tank look. I don't know if I can justify the cash for it right now since I just set up a reef tank but eventually I will probably get that one.

I have the current led plus coming tomorrow or Thursday for my new tank and am using double brights for my main tank. I will post pics and email you vids if you like once I get it. Here's tank now w t8 for comparo.

Ok. It's on and I didn't notice how much better tank looked till I put old one back on. Wow! Maybe not AS good as marineland double brights with the shimmer effect but the ability to customize cloud cover and color is awesome! I like it cuz rams are supposed to like not as bright lighting so I can tone it down especially w the dawn disk setting. iPhone pics don't soothe difference justice. Hers pics I the settings in directions. Them some of the different pics of them.

Only gripe is that the pet solutions site said it was like 2 inches width so I thought it'd fit on glass under my t8 light fixture with the stock bulb removed but its wider and won't so u can see my hob filter when looking from front which I wanted to avoid! Guess that's a reason to upgrade to small canister!

Hah any reason to get something new for the fish tank. And so compared to the marineland, long run, which do you like better? After getting over the hype of the storm setting and what not. By the way how are the storms?

Honestly the lightning thing ill never use. But inlike the cloud option. I like the different color options as everyone's preferences are different whereas the marine land just has day and moon option. I think I'd choose this one tbh with ya. I like how you can set it to be not so bright if I want.
