Well I've done salt tanks for the past oh 5-6 years. My last cichlid tank was a 125 that I cycles for 2 weeks. My current set up is a 55g with aragonite sand I had in my reef set up 6 months ago. A new wet/dry sump, various rocks that I pulled from the river(cleaned and cycled) and 220w cfl lights. I'm looking to build a nice cichlid tank and don't want to risk killing my first tenants lol

Ya that is the good thing, your doing it the right way. The more patient yet easier way. That guide will get your tank fish ready and then the rest of it is building your tank specifically for what type of Cichlid your getting or wanting. Im learning and enjoying everyday.
