dying anenomes????

They will often lose their color and will become smaller and smaller. They will also lose their "stickiness" as they waste away.
 
a roaming anenome is an unhappy anenome. It is not not happy with the flow, lighting or water parameters.
 
Ya definitley make sure you get the anenome out as soon as possible because it will disinegrate all over your tank and make it really nasty.
 
Not to hijack your thread, but anyone ever have a bubble tip anenome split twice in a month? I got one from my lfs, it was about two inches across and then after a week it grew and split, the two weeks later the bigger half grew agian and split. I like them and all but I do not want a tank full of bubble tip anenome.
 
Normally, an Anemone will find a spot and stay there provided it is comfortable. If it is roaming all the time, it is not comfortable. Make sure your lighting and water parameters are acceptable as well.
