I picked the "Eriocaulon Species Type 3" up last January. I have not seen any info (except from greenchapter where I bought it). Eventually I want to submit this as a profile. But for now I thought I would just put the info I have out there.
It is growing in high light, CO2, and aquasoil. PH about 6.2, and Kh about 1. I have had it in slightly harder water without issue. (<4Kh). I am not sure if it could withstand even harder water. It did grow it in Eco complete. This plant does not like shade, and will melt if shaded.
Propagation: the stem will split every couple inches. These side shoots can be cut off and replanted. If you cut or kill the growing tip, the plant may survive a while, but will not produce any new growth. My particular plant may also be variegated.
