I'm visiting some relatives and their tank is looking pretty sad. I told them I could help out. I haven't got to cleaning it yet, but I am advising them to purchase more fish. I know these are bad pictures but can anyone ID these so we can pick up some more? Thanks in advance

Yeah looks to me like a glofish...sorta hard to tell, it could very well be a zebra.

Like bichir said, you have a glofish (zebra danio) and a platy (maybe coral blue?). You could get some more glo danios or regular danios and some more platies. just make sure that you have 1 male for every 2 female platies.
