The reason I ask is because I have my convict at 82. He seems quite happy at this temp. He was freezing at 74. Oh, and I also recently accidentally cooked him at about 95. He's fine now, and even seems better afterwards. He had always lain on his side when I got him from my sister. She had two Cichlids, Owl and Tigger, since they were fry and egg respectively for seven years before she gave them to me last month. I have thus far failed to prevent Owl's demise, but anyway, Tigger was always on his side, my sister telling me that he always did that...for years. Now all of a sudden he stops laying on his side? Can you cook a fish to good health and cause them illness when they are too cold? Also, do differing varieties like different temps? Thanks, I realize now that I just hijacked your post. Sorry:-/
