Hi all.

Am I over stocked? What's going on with my ammonia level?

Since I cant log into aqadvisor and get there estimate I'm after some expert help.

I have the following set up and stocking levels but after advice as to of this is to much?

7 guppies
4 dwarf honey guarami
4 cherry Barbs
3 pepperd corries
2 neon tetras
2 netrite snails
1 ramshirn snail
1 pleco
1 african dwarf frog

In a tank of the following dimensions

Width - 98cm
Height - 36cm (water level)
Depth - 37cm
Several ornaments.

I am running a eheim experience 350 which is designed for tank from 170l to 350l.

I feed every 3 days

Weekly water change of I estimate 50litres

I have ammonia of 0.5 (day after a water change :-( .)
Ph 6.5
Nitrate 0
Nitrite 0

I have recently started having live plants and have a couple in there growing well and 8 moss balls.

Kind regards

Rob

In that same tank I got 12 adult female guppies. (30g)

Changing water depends on the hardness/stability.
I have to change me water twice a week with that load because of it.

Live plants actually eat ammonia, it is a very good plant fertilizer.

So many things could have happened.

One thing is for sure, you beneficial bacteria have been killed off,
if they all crashed is hard to say since the plants do eat NH to.
If it keeps rising then you know for sure you crashed your filter.
