I have been working diligently to reseal this 110g tank so I can get it up and running. My problem: when we put the 2nd side back on it had gotten knocked a little out of square. Being the perfectionist I am, I began cutting out the silicone once it was dried in order to redo that side. (I really don't want 110 gallons of sand, rocks, and water all over my floor!) Now, here is the problem... there is such a tight seal along part of each side that I can't even get a razor blade between the panes of glass to cut through the silicone. 8O I need suggestions  Could I use something like paint thinner, etc. to soften or loosen the silicone? I know someone has had a problem like this before, please give me some guidance.

There are silicone removers available at DIY/hardware shops, but I have never used them, as using a rasor blade has always worked for me.
