I'm 99% sure my Acei had a batch around a week ago, I managed to spot one of them earlier, it was around 1cm long.
I haven't fed or tried to feed fry in my tank and I am amazed that they've managed to grow to this size by themselves.
I know they aren't huge but 1cm must be at least a week or two's growth.

Here's what I was thinking...
I know that Discus fry feed off of the slime coat of their parents and I was wondering if the same thing happens with African's.
My Acei is looking a bit beaten with small white blotches along its sides, I know it's probably just getting tagged but could it be the fry?

Any info is appreciated.

Fry growing out on their own in a tank with large fish simply scrounge whatever bits of food they can find. Really small fry will also snack on micro critters and nematodes lurking around the tank that are too small for larger fish to pay attention to.
