How long till peacocks color up?

I got 5 lemon jakes, around 1.5-2 inches, and I'm just wondering how long it'll take for them to color up.

Depends on the fish some will start to show color at about 2-3 sometimes longer. Females never color up

Pretty much if there not colored at 3 they are probably females

x2 on this i was worried about my ruby red and he got color a little late about 3.5" so if no color by 3.5" theyre definitely females, it also depends what your feeding them.
