How much water flow?

My 150 gal African Cichlid tank has an everclear 200 w/d filter. How much flow should I have thru the filter? (it has a valve to control the amount of water flow.) currently I have it wide open flowing 100% but not sure if I should (or understand) when or if it should be less.

Tank is 6 weeks running, final stage of cycle

I would have the flow on maximum, unless the fish are being blown around.
