How to Trim Asian Anubias?

If you want it to get bushy, cut the tops off and throw them away. If you want it to stay less bushy, cut and replant the tops and throw the bottoms out.
 
Wait, cut off the tops for an anubias? I'm confused... I'm no expert at plants, so please correct me, but the 3 anubias species I've had (nana, coffeefolia, afzelli) are rhizome plants, so they don't grow up as such, they just add more leaves (slowly) on the rhizome, and each leaf grows up vertically to it's preferred height. Cutting off high leaves would only get you new leaves to the same height (eventually). Am I wrong about this?

Incidentally, any chance you have a species name for asian anubias, kaz? I haven't heard that as a common name (and neither has google), so I'm curious which plant it might be. If not, can you post a pic?
 
Could you get a picture of the plant. While I've heard of Asian ambulia, I've never heard of Asian anubias.
