Yes, the DGs would fight. It would not be a peaceful tank at all. I'm sure there are exceptions, but for the most part it is recommended to have a single DG.

Well I was considering the praeoxs but decided against it

As for the kuhlis I don't particular like them but corys are my faveourties

Also here is new stocking list

8 thread fin rainbows
8 spotted blue eye rainbows
2 dwarf Cichlid or pearl gourami
8 Cory of some kind

What do we think?

just my opinion, but think that's a little much for a 34g. and I would avoid the dwarf cichlids, as they will most likely bully your smaller fish .. also pearls get big (around 6in) they need their own space.. it would be fine while everyone is small but once they are full grown.. IMO, you will be over stocked

I agree. The thread fins and blue eyes do better in tanks with their own kind and other smaller timid fish. I'd skip the gourami and the cichlids. The cories will work well with them IMO.
